Sporting Dinner 2009
With Special Guest Speakers
Steve Kindon & Sid Dennis
On Thursday 19th November 2009
At the Thistle Hotel, Penny Lane, Haydock
Time: 7 p.m. for 7.30 p.m. Dress: Lounge Suit
Once again, Newton-Le-Willows Cricket Club is to hold a fundraising dinner in support of its ever increasing junior section and we are delighted that our special guests will be two of the very best.
Steve Kindon has over 160 first class goals to his credit. This former striker / left winger starred for Wolves, Burnley and Huddersfield in the 70’s & 80’s. For seven years running he also held the title of the fastest footballer in Britain.
A much sought after speaker, who is a regular on the “circuit” and who has spoken at one of our dinners in the past. He is one of the genuine “characters” of football and any dinner with Steve speaking at, is guaranteed to have the audience rolling with laughter.
Sid Dennis is a Scrap Metal Merchant by day and a comic by night. Coming highly recommended, Sid is a regular on the after dinner circuit and we are told he does an excellent tribute to the singer Meatloaf as part of his act.
He has appeared at the Royal Variety Club of Great Britain as well as the Houses of Parliament in addition to various Sportsman’s Dinners and Golf Days.
Sid has attained a high reputation within both his chosen industries and the testimonials held on Sid will mean a great night should be had by all.
You are welcome to purchase any number of places but individual companies can advertise in the souvenir menu produced for every guest.
We do hope that you can join us.
